Convert the file — and understand the result

GeoVerto puts analysis before conversion. It identifies the data structure and coordinate reference system, reports quality issues, shows format-specific trade-offs and records the processing steps used to create the output.

The path of a file

  1. Upload

Drop a file or a ZIP containing a multi-file dataset. GeoVerto checks the content instead of trusting the filename extension.

  2. Identify

The analysis reads the driver, layers, fields, geometry types and coordinate-system metadata, including a confidence assessment where the CRS is uncertain.

  3. Review

A quality report highlights invalid geometries, an implausible CRS, missing companion files and losses that the selected output format can introduce.

  4. Convert

Choose a target format and, when needed, a target CRS. Multi-layer sources can be narrowed to a selected layer before the job starts.

  5. Verify and download

Compare feature counts and the map preview, then download through a time-limited signed link. The processing manifest records how the result was produced.

The signed-in workspace

An account keeps jobs, projects and results together. Team, workflow, API and webhook availability depends on the account and plan; the authoritative commercial details are published on the German pricing page.

Process data

Conversions

A guided path from upload to result.

Analysis

Inspect a dataset without creating a conversion job.

Workflows

Save repeatable processing steps and apply them to new inputs.

Jobs

Track state, readable errors and the processing manifest.

Organise and share

Projects

Keep source files and results grouped by project.

Shares

Issue a revocable, time-limited result link.

Teams

Invite members and assign roles where the plan supports it.

Notifications

Receive job completion and error notifications.

Integrate and control

API keys

Create, expire, rotate and optionally restrict keys by IP range.

API integration

Use the documented HTTP API. Client SDKs are still being prepared for public distribution.

Support access

Grant temporary read-only access when support needs to inspect a case.

Data access and deletion

Request an account export or delete data from the workspace.

Traceable processing

  • SHA-256 checksums

Uploads and downloads receive checksums so a file can be matched to the recorded job.

  • Processing manifest

The job record captures tools, versions, parameters and coordinate transformations.

  • Open GIS foundations

GeoVerto uses GDAL/OGR, PROJ and GEOS, the same core libraries used throughout the open-source GIS ecosystem.

Formats and capabilities

Browse practical references for 12 common formats and the exact conversion pairs in the published catalogue.

Security and data handling

Learn where files are processed, how downloads are protected and where the binding privacy documents live.

Try a conversion with your own data
