Convert GeoPackage to GeoJSON
Publish a layer from a desktop GIS database in the simple JSON format most web-mapping stacks understand.
Upload one .gpkg file.
How this conversion works
GeoVerto reads the GeoPackage CRS, transforms coordinates to WGS 84 and writes feature geometry and attributes into one FeatureCollection.
GeoPackage keeps geometry, typed attributes, long field names and CRS definitions in one database file. A file may contain several vector layers, so check the analysed layer list before converting to a single-layer format.
What the GeoJSON result contains
GeoJSON is written in WGS 84 by default for reliable use in browsers and web-mapping libraries. Geometry and properties share one FeatureCollection.
Check before you use the result
- A multi-layer GeoPackage needs a clear source layer when the target can hold only one collection.
- Database constraints, indexes and non-vector tables are not part of a GeoJSON document.
GeoVerto reports the detected format, feature count and coordinate-system evidence before starting the job. Treat a low-confidence or missing CRS as a data question to resolve, not a value the converter should silently guess.
