Convert DGN to GeoJSON
Bring MicroStation elements into a web-map-ready FeatureCollection without pretending the drawing identifies its real-world CRS.
Upload one .dgn file.
How this conversion works
GeoVerto reads supported DGN elements and level attributes, applies the source CRS you choose and transforms coordinates to WGS 84 GeoJSON.
DGN stores MicroStation drawing elements and levels, not a dependable GIS CRS declaration. The source CRS must be supplied so that output coordinates are not merely plausible-looking but wrong.
What the GeoJSON result contains
GeoJSON is written in WGS 84 by default for reliable use in browsers and web-mapping libraries. Geometry and properties share one FeatureCollection.
Check before you use the result
- DGN does not provide a dependable GIS CRS for this workflow, so verify the system with the data producer.
- Complex CAD symbology and unsupported element types cannot be reproduced as GeoJSON styling.
GeoVerto reports the detected format, feature count and coordinate-system evidence before starting the job. Treat a low-confidence or missing CRS as a data question to resolve, not a value the converter should silently guess.
