Convert DXF to GeoJSON
Prepare CAD drawing geometry for a browser map or JSON-based spatial pipeline.
Upload one .dxf file.
How this conversion works
Drawing entities are interpreted using the source CRS you supply, transformed to WGS 84 and written as GeoJSON features.
DXF coordinates are drawing units without an embedded CRS. GeoVerto therefore requires the source CRS instead of guessing; CAD layer, colour and element information can be carried as attributes where the target permits it.
What the GeoJSON result contains
GeoJSON is written in WGS 84 by default for reliable use in browsers and web-mapping libraries. Geometry and properties share one FeatureCollection.
Check before you use the result
- Paper-space layout, dimensions and CAD styling are not the same thing as GIS feature data.
- Without the correct source CRS the conversion cannot know where the drawing belongs on Earth.
GeoVerto reports the detected format, feature count and coordinate-system evidence before starting the job. Treat a low-confidence or missing CRS as a data question to resolve, not a value the converter should silently guess.
