Convert DXF to GeoPackage
Use a modern single-file GIS container for CAD-derived data without Shapefile's sidecars and ten-character field limit.
Upload one .dxf file.
How this conversion works
DXF entities are interpreted in the selected source CRS and transformed to the chosen target CRS (WGS 84 by default) before GeoPackage stores the GIS geometry and attributes.
DXF coordinates are drawing units without an embedded CRS. GeoVerto therefore requires the source CRS instead of guessing; CAD layer, colour and element information can be carried as attributes where the target permits it.
What the GeoPackage result contains
GeoPackage is a single SQLite-based GIS file that supports typed attributes, long field names, CRS metadata and several geometry types without Shapefile's sidecar-file limits.
Check before you use the result
- The correct source CRS still has to be supplied because DXF stores drawing coordinates, not a reliable GIS reference.
- GeoPackage preserves GIS features, not the full CAD document model or sheet layout.
GeoVerto reports the detected format, feature count and coordinate-system evidence before starting the job. Treat a low-confidence or missing CRS as a data question to resolve, not a value the converter should silently guess.
