Convert GeoJSON to KML
Take features from a web map or API response and make them directly viewable in Google Earth.
Upload one .geojson,.json file.
How this conversion works
Every feature becomes a KML placemark. Choose useful property fields for the visible name and description; remaining compatible properties are available as ExtendedData.
GeoJSON stores geometries and properties in one readable JSON document. It is excellent for web maps, but unlike a GeoPackage it is not designed as a multi-layer spatial database.
What the KML result contains
KML is written in WGS 84 for Google Earth. You can map suitable attributes to the visible placemark name and description; other attributes remain ExtendedData where supported.
Check before you use the result
- GeoJSON does not contain KML styles, so the result uses default presentation.
- Very large FeatureCollections are often easier to distribute as KMZ, but this route deliberately produces editable plain KML.
GeoVerto reports the detected format, feature count and coordinate-system evidence before starting the job. Treat a low-confidence or missing CRS as a data question to resolve, not a value the converter should silently guess.
